Overview

This principal bedroom was the first of many rooms to be re-done in this UBC residence.

Our client, an avid world traveller, asked us to renovate and re-design her bedroom to create a bright, serene oasis where she could unwind after a busy day. The scheme of the room was built around a Persian rug she had purchased on her travels and the creams, blues and camels we pulled out (which are expressed through the materiality of stained wood and shagreen panelling) helped to achieve a warm, collected and calming feel.  The hand painted ceiling mural is a favourite feature which resembles clouds passing by.
