Gillian Segal is principal and founder of Gillian Segal Design, a boutique full-service interior-design firm based in Vancouver, specializing in custom residential design. With a lifetime love affair with the decorative arts and a Bachelor of Arts under her belt, Gillian pursued a formal education in Interior Design. After gaining experience with some of Vancouver’s top firms, she founded her own firm, Gillian Segal Design. Her fresh perspective was quickly recognized, and Gillian was approached by Martha Stewart’s team to act as a contributing writer for Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, which helped to catapult her work into the spotlight.

Laura catapulted her career after obtaining a bachelor’s degree in interior design. With experience across North America with renowned firms such as Carrie Hayden and Brian Paquette, Laura brings over a decade of luxury residential and commercial design experience to our team. Her grace, and positive energy makes for an incredible client and vendor relationship. Laura is known for her driven work ethic, attention to detail and her ability to translate a strong design story in collaboration with the client’s goals. During Laura’s time at Gillian Segal Design her work has been feature in Vogue Living, OK! Magazine, Dwell amongst others.

Madilynn earned her Diploma of Interior Design in Vancouver, BC and has nearly a decade of experience working with firms across Canada. Her passion for design stems from her childhood admiring her Mother in the Interior Design world. Madilynn’s years of experience in both Residential and Commercial design has provided her with the experience to marry the art of storytelling through the client’s personality and requirements. She believes that thoughtful design starts with the people who experience it and takes great pride in building a relationship with each client to allow the best expression of what makes a house home.

After completing her Bachelor of Arts degree in Montreal, Theresa returned to Vancouver to study and embark on a career in Interior Design. With more than 15 years of industry experience, Theresa has been involved in designing and overseeing a diverse range of creative projects from concept to completion, including residential, multifamily, and commercial. Theresa finds inspiration in her clients and her surroundings, and has a keen eye for detail to procure and create a beautiful finished product.

Finding balance between aesthetics and rationality is the key challenge that drives Alexandra in her design journey. Holding both a Bachelor and Master of Architecture from KNUCA in Ukraine, she has sharpened her skills in various projects within Europe and the Middle East, specifically with a focus in boutique residential design. Alexandra’s main goal in interior design is to assist clients in finding design solutions that align seamlessly with their lifestyle and everyday life. She believes it is important for design to be a self-expression tool for clients, while also ensuring comfort and function.

Enid enjoys storytelling through design to create unique & playful spaces to set a specific mood and atmosphere – often drawing inspiration from various art forms and childhood. She holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Carleton University and has experience in a variety of fields like editorial design, graphic design, experience design and photography. Enid enjoys working and collaborating with others to blend their background and interests with design. Her versatility brings a unique perspective to the work at Gillian Segal Design.
